There so are many uses it's probably best to say what you can't use it for: What Can't I use it for? If you are using the domain honestly and for legitimate reasons then you're most likely fine. But we have to have some House Rules: No Spamming, or links to Spam, Viruses or links to Adult/Gambling/Drug sites. Spam or other malicious or illegal use be this technical or social will result in suspension or termination without compensation. You may also not post links to the domain on link swapping sites, search engine submission sites, in unsolicited emails or any other illegal method, site or space. This not only will result in termination but may also incur extra costs of which you will be liable. We work hard to keep our domains clean to ensure a good reputation and therefore search engine position. This means we have to be efficient at moderating what can be put or linked to on the site and we must reserve the right to suspend your product at any time. We reserve the right to adapt the destination URL for security, efficiency or any other reason. Until we have performed additional security checks, we will not direct search engine bots to your requested destination - If you would like this then please ask. If you have any other concerns, please also ask. As a guidance: It is not intended for referral links to a shop site.- If you're thinking of using to post sunglass links on social media, think again. No links to purchase drugs, legal or otherwise No links to promote illegal activity such as illegal torrents, malicious hacking or sharing or personal data. Adult Content or Links to Adult sites and services including pornography and gamblng are not permitted on domains which don't have an "adult" context - General "NSFW" type content should be no problem, but please ensure that you use adequate warnings, if required. Your IP address will be logged and if requested this information will be passed to the relevant authorities Can I use it for links to links? You can only add a URL which redirects once at most. Can I use it for referral links? You will need to ensure that this is within the rules of your referral programme. Please also contact us as our own referral IDs may be added/counted by our or the destination system. Can I alter the DNS? The A records for @ and www. are fixed, but if you have purchased a domain for a month or more, we'll add up to 10 A/CNAME/MX records for free, subject to our discretion. (Eg. we won't add a record which proves to another company you own the domain) Do I own the domain? We offer purely the use of some of the domain features for the time period specified. We will retain ownership of the domain. This allows us to manage it for you and prevent your details appearing on any whois record and hassles of transfers, concerns over on-going costs and termination issues. Can I accept email? Most domains will allow for email forwarding for rentals of 1 month or more - This may take 48 hours to set up and fully function. Can I buy the domain name? Possibly - Please enquire. We will often have several up for auction on Sedo or Flippa. Can I have the domain for longer? You will normally be given the option to renew at the end of your rental, but for many reasons this may not be possible. If you would like this guaranteed, please enquire about purchasing the domain. Some domains may have a time where they will be required and so cannot be rented for longer periods. Domains may change price band and the pricing within the price band may also change so usually best to get the domain for as long as you can at the start. Can anyone view the link? At the moment, yes. We will shortly be adding features so you can password protect the link or redirect based on certain criteria - at the moment, it's all public. We will also log all destinations which, unless specifically requested otherwise (logged in users only) may be available on a public time log. How can you provide this for free? We hope the premium domains will earn enough for us to provide the free service to you in addition to the partnerships with many major sites who will reward for referrals from our domains to your destination. Do prices include VAT? Callycode Ltd is not currently registered for VAT, nor yet required to do so. ie. Prices do not include VAT, but VAT is NOT added. Can I cancel? (and other pricing questions) You can change your domain destination at any time and if you wish to release the domain for others then this is possible but to prevent domain blocking and also to prevent losses due to other costs incurred refunds are not possible. Prices may be subject to change at any time. A reduction in price will be for future orders only and do not entitle a difference refund Is there an API? Not at the moment. Please Note that automated use is not permitted and steps may be taken to prevent this which may not be apparent at first. If you are interested in this aspect then please contact us with your idea/plan as this is a feature we will be looking to add in the future.
